My professional passion is developing ‘new’ concepts and helping build organisations – often based around bringing current assets together to maximise their potential. I love most working with those seeking to make a difference in the community – particularly around children’s activities. Access to healthy, quality activities should be a right of all Australian children.

I have over 35 years experience in the children’s activities industry, including as a business owner of Westside Swimming and Aussie Aquatics. This experience has not only given me proven skills in the development, marketing and delivery of high quality children’s activities, but an insight into all areas of the industry – insights I now use to guide and support businesses, events and organisations to high performance and outstanding customer service.

My background

I have 35+ years operating small businesses in the children’s activities industry – developing in-depth practical experience and expertise.

I have experience developing and working with national and international Associations.

As a delegate to a number of national Boards and Committees – representing the private sector and their employees; and Associations and their members – my role has been inclusive of negotiating policy change through to the highest level of the Australian Government.

My representation on international Boards adds a global perspective to any projects I engage in.

Experiences include advising and/or establishing non-profits – such as Swim Australia, the Australian Swim Schools Association, Little Heroes Swim Academy and Gymnastics Clubs Australia – and social enterprises – such as the Australian Children’s Activities Association. This has encompassed a holistic approach to the development of new or emerging organisations.

I have been a spokesperson for several bodies on local and national media – including a segment on 60 Minutes.

  • Experience on Boards representing the industry.
  • Proven success in the creation and convening of events.

“I consider myself fortunate to have observed and worked with Mr. Ross Gage in a variety of Association roles. Ross leaves a legacy everywhere he goes via his sincere and deep-seated desire to see all worthy social enterprises grow. Ross did wonderful work in both Australia and internationally, in the swim industry, and it was a pleasure to be involved with those groups. I would like to acknowledge Ross’s contribution to the International Association of Child Development Program – – in the areas of board consultation, strategic direction, and mission focus.”
